Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals are still holding out hope that they can make a run in the NL East over the final month of the season. They sit at 65-66, 8.5 games back of the Braves for 1st place and only 5.5 games back of the Phillies, who they play in a 3-game series starting Monday.

Stephen Strasburg has been at his best on the road this season, going 4-2 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.060 WHIP in six starts away from home. Strasburg owns the Phillies, going 10-2 with a 2.48 ERA and 0.896 WHIP in 22 career starts against them. Better yet, Strasburg has a 1.45 ERA in eight career starts at Citizens Bank Park.

Zach Eflin is 9-4 with a 3.93 ERA in 18 starts for the Phillies this season, but 1-1 with a 5.62 ERA and 1.750 WHIP in his last three starts. One of those was against Washington on August 22nd as he allowed 5 runs and 12 base runners in 3 1/3 innings. Eflin has posted a 6.48 ERA and 2.281 WHIP in two career starts against Washington.
