Another team from Scotland in friendlies which I'm gonna try today. Kilmarnock ended the 2010/2011 season in a decent position considering that the first places were taken by the grands of Scotland. Their pre-season daily training started Monday then Tuesday they had the first friendly against Northern Ireland champions, Linfield in a game where Kilmarnock managed to win 3:1. The club did some signings also for their next season, grabbing six new players (Patrick Ada, Danny Buijs - with over 250 Dutch Premier League appearances, Gary Harkins, Paul Heffernan, Zdenek Kroca and Danny Racchi) and extended three more contracts of players form last season. Chairman Michael Johnston said the club greatly appreciates fan's financial support and will try to channel the club's resources into creating a strong squad for the next season looking forward to sign even more players. Their opponent tonight, Ballymena, finished on 9th place in Northern Ireland Premiership and their squad looks much more in-experienced than what Kilmarnock has to offer. Their defenders are young players oldest being from '85 and mostly others '87 - '90. Midfield is not much more experienced than defense either and I will expect Kilmarnock to out-play the young Ballymena squad after a good win against N. Ireland champions on Tuesday.
