Sportul Studentesc vs. Universitatea Cluj
Failed yesterday with Brasov in Romania so I'll take my chances today with Universitatea Cluj. Since U Cluj is my heart team and I follow them every time they play I'll be confident with my bet this time.
Two teams with different aspirations this season, Sportul is looking to keep themselves in first division, while U Cluj on the other hand has as target an European place at the end of the campaign, and looking as things go right now they might be tempted to achieve even more.
Sportul sacked their coach and has named as their new coach the ex-Brasov one, a coach which already met with U cluj this season. Even when he had a better team at his disposal, he still lost and U cluj won that time 1:0 in a game where Brasov didn't have any chances. Now back to Sportul.. I don't think there are much many more advantages other than that they play on home ground. They were supposed to relegate last season but becuz of some license problems with other teams, they were kept in first division. Anyway, lots of players left during summer and now they have to face same story as last season, but with less quality players. Another big hit for them this game will be the missing of main striker Curelea, and personally without him on the field I hardly believe they will be very dangerous. Sportul has one victory so far only ( none at home ) but thanks to six draws so far this season, they are only one point away from salvation so there shouldn't be much stress around the club yet.
U Cluj dropped on 5th position from second after losing away to Pandurii and after drawing to 1st place Dinamo last round. I seen the game and could say U Cluj had their chances and they could have nicked it really early in the first half when they totally dominated Dinamo. Things changed in second half with Dinamo taking control a bit, so probably the draw was a fair result. Lots of times this season U Cluj played good very early taking the lead in the first half and holding to result in the second. I'm tempted to make a half time bet becuz of this and odds of 2,85 for half time looks very good. U Cluj has no squad problems except for Bazzi, but they got solutions to replace him so shouldn't be any problems squad-like for this game. The only negative thing is that lots of players are about to get suspended becuz of the number of yellow cards this season, and it wouldn't be a good thing for them to be suspended right before the big derby with CFR Cluj next round. So another good points to trust the half time bet is U Cluj to kill the game in first half and put off pressure for the second half. I expect U cluj to jump back on winning ways after a lose and a draw and I'll gladly be taking them to win today. Sportul will probably not hope for more than a draw since they miss on best forward Curelea, but I don't see another 0:0 game ending this round for the two teams. You probably shouldn't follow since I'm gonna bet with my heart also, but it's up to you. I'll take my chances today, and if it fails, I'll go max stakes tomorrow on another Romanian encounter.
