Sportul Studentesc vs. FC Brasov

Many surprises this weekend, top teams drawing with weaker teams giving other teams the chance to approach them. Rapid can profit of this and pick three important points considering their title Rivals CFR Cluj and Dinamo both drew this round.

Anyway, I'll be previewing a relegation fight game for now as Rapid is pretty obvious to be running for the win. What we have today, is Sportul Studentesc whom are in the relegation zone, and Brasov, whom are 6 points away from Sportul. This is a 6 point winner for any of them and it's an important game for both, if Sportul will manage to take three points they have the chance of leaving the relegation zone considering Petrolul plays away to Rapid a tough game, while if Brasov will manage to win they gonna be 9 points clear relegation line and that will give them some breathing space for upcoming encounters against tier 1 opposition.

Sportul won last time out surprsingly, away from home, and that raised their chances of survival. Their current coach, Isaila, was talking about how important these points would be for his team, but to get them, he will need his players to catch a good day, cuz they are missing a good hand of players for today's encounter. Stancu, Curelea, Varga will be missing while Ghinga is doubtful. Also in goal, they will play Cezar Lungu, whom played for the first time last weekend, not playing at all during the winter break in the friendlie games, the other keepers being in conflict with the club becuz of financiary matters. Without Curelea and Varga, Sportul will have to play forward two very young players ( 20, respectively 21 years old) and the lack of experience might be an important part here, the team having to open up and bring the midfield high on the pitch, giving Brasov the chance to catch them on counters.
Sportul won only once at home this season ( played a total of ten there ) and another loss or draw for record wouldn't be a surprise today.

Brasov is a team which starts to get attention for my eyes. Sumudica is not a bad coach, and they brought some experienced players whom might have the strength to push Brasov higher on the table. the new signing Ilijoski proved that last round, when he scored two goals for his team and managed to bring them three points. They played a good first half, slowing down the play after being in the lead ( thing which I disliked a bit) and probably that's why they conceded also, but hopefully they learned their lesson and won't give Sportul any chances to develop today. Brasov is good on counters, and if Sportul will open up space in order to help with the young forward line, I could see them taking their chances and score today. Brasov has no real squad problems, with only missing being Madeira who will miss for a longer period of time, but Ilijoski did well last time out so I'm not worried of Brasov scoring as long as Ilijoski will get the ball up-front. With only one win this season away from home for Brasov, I highly rate them to grab three points in this game. They have the team, they have the coach, so they should win against a struggling opposition.

I'll play them on +0.25 asian handicap with medium/high stake cuz a draw would be very possible also considering the bad shape of the pitch, and take them on straight away win with local bookie just becuz they are priced at a good 2.65 for away win. Also, Brasov to score is 1.45 which is a good call considering Sportul conceded in 17/20 games!

Selection:

Brasov +0.25 @ 1,48 - 6 Units
